Mandarin Dual Language Immersion Program

 

We are still accepting interest forms for the 2021-2022 Transitional Kindergarten/ Kindergarten Mandarin Dual Language Immersion classroom. 

 The Ontario-º¬Ðß²Ýapp School District is proud to continue an innovative Mandarin Dual Language Immersion Program beginning with the 2020-2021 school year.  The Mandarin Dual Language Immersion program will be housed at Montera Elementary School, 4825 Bandera, º¬Ðß²Ýapp, CA  91763.

 Children enrolled in this Dual Language Immersion Program will receive º¬Ðß²Ýapp State Standards instruction in both English and Mandarin beginning in Kindergarten and throughout their elementary and middle school grades to foster bilingualism, enhance cultural diversity and to develop academic proficiency in both languages over their school years.  The classroom is comprised of Native Mandarin speaking and English-speaking students to promote oral fluency, achieve reading and writing skills, and develop critical thinking in two languages
